Anybody ever get a rash or other kind of skin reaction from their hot tub water? My wife and I picked up a hideous condition recently ... painful, itchy bumps, like big spider bites ... and the doctors IMMEDIATELY asked us, "Have you been in a hot tub lately?" After their diagnosis and my own Internet research, I'm pretty sure that it was folliculitis. The only thing that I don't understand is, HOW did a bacterial microorganism like that get into the water when I followed the water balancing and sanitation directions TO THE LETTER? What can I do to ensure that it never happens again? Has this happened to y'all?
